Bhubaneswar: The State Transport Authority (STA) has announced that vehicle owners can now pay e-challans both online and offline, making the process more convenient for the public. Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) have been instructed to accept cash payments, ensuring accessibility for those without internet or mobile connectivity.
Officials will be assigned special responsibilities at each RTO to handle offline transactions independently. This move is expected to benefit individuals who haven’t updated their mobile numbers and those residing in areas with poor internet connectivity.
The online payment option remains available through the official Parivahan portal, echallan.parivahan.gov.in. This dual payment system aims to increase accessibility and reduce difficulties faced by citizens.
