Bhubaneswar: Police on Sunday arrested three persons in connection with a vehicle cash looting case under Khallikote police limits in Ganjam district. The operation led to the recovery of a total of Rs 2.97 lakh, including Rs 1 lakh stolen from a pickup vehicle.
According to police, on December 3, 2025, miscreants broke open the dickey of a four-wheeler pickup in front of the Bejiput Police Outpost and stole cash worth Rs 1 lakh. Following a complaint, a case was registered at Khallikote Police Station (PS Case No. 1015/25), and a special team was formed under the leadership of Khallikote IIC Ramesh Pradhan, acting on the directions of the Ganjam Superintendent of Police.
The team conducted raids at multiple locations and, after an intensive search, apprehended the accused from the Aska area.
During the operation, police recovered cash totaling Rs 2.97 lakh along with a motorcycle. The Rs 1 lakh stolen from the pickup was returned to its rightful owner.
