Bhubaneswar: Two former officials of Chitalo Degree Mahavidyalaya in Jajpur, have been arrested by Vigilance for embezzling government funds meant for a self-defence programme for girls.
The accused, Adwaita Prasad Mallick, ex-Principal, and Badri Narayan Ray, ex-President, allegedly misappropriated Rs 32,07,620.
A case has been registered against them under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, and IPC sections 409/120(B). Both have been forwarded to the Court.
