Bhubaneswar: Expressing deep concern over reports of bomb threats received at several courts in Sambalpur, Cuttack, and Deogarh districts, Chief Minister Mohana Charan Majhi ordered a probe to investigate the incidents and identify those responsible.
According to reports, bomb threats were received at district courts in Sambalpur, Cuttack, and Deogarh on Thursday noon. Upon receiving the news, CM Majhi directed senior officials to investigate the incidents and verify their authenticity.
Also, the CM has held discussions with the Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Home Department) Hemant Sharma, and Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, instructing them to keep a close watch on the situation.
The Chief Minister stressed that there can be no compromise on the safety and security of citizens’ lives and property, directing authorities to treat the incident with the utmost seriousness. Senior officials have been deployed to monitor the situation closely.
Besides, another high-level meeting is scheduled for this evening, where the CM will conduct a thorough review of the situation.
