Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition (LoP) and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed shock and sadness over the demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash near Baramati.
In a social media post, Patnaik offered heartfelt condolences to Pawar’s family, friends, and supporters.
“Deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the passing away of #Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister #AjitPawar and co-passengers in the aircraft crash near #Baramati. Heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and supporters. Om Shanti”, read his post.
It is pertinent to mention that Ajit Pawar, 66, was among the six people on board the chartered aircraft that crashed while attempting to land at Baramati airport. The incident occurred around 8:45 am, and all on board, including the pilot and crew members, lost their lives.
Pawar was heading to Baramati to attend a public rally for the Zilla Parishad Elections. His death has sent shockwaves across Maharashtra and the nation, with senior leaders expressing their condolences.
