Bhubaneswar: The state’s winter chill is slowly subsiding, and summer is knocking on the door, with over 20 places recording temperatures above 30°C.
Dhenkanal is the hottest spot, with a maximum temperature of 31.8°C, followed by Jharsuguda (31.6°C) and Gopalpur (31.4°C). The state capital, Bhubaneswar, is also sweltering at 31.2°C.
However, nights are still cool, with temperatures below 15°C in some areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts dense fog in isolated pockets of Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Cuttack, and Khordha on January 29 and 30.
The weather department has forecasted gradual rise in Minimum Temperature (Night Temperature) by 2-3 degree C during next two days and no large change thereafter over the districts of Odisha.
