Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has expressed his condolences on the passing of former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Kahnu Charan Lenka, who served as a Minister in the P.V. Narasimha Rao government and was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1988 to 1994.
Patnaik remembered Lenka’s lifelong dedication to public service and development, praying for his soul’s eternal peace and conveying sympathies to his family.
Taking to his social media post, he wrote: “I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of eminent politician, former parliamentarian, and Union Minister Kahnu Charan Lenka. His lifelong dedication to public service and development in his political career will always remain memorable. While praying for the eternal peace of his immortal soul, I convey my condolences to his bereaved family members.”
