Bhubaneswar: A state-level workshop was held today to discuss effective and appropriate investment of the Aspirational District Mineral Fund (DSF) in areas implementing the Aspirational District Programme (ADP) and Aspirational Block Programme (ABP).
Development Commissioner Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh emphasized providing basic amenities, overall development, and economic inclusion in identified aspirational districts and blocks. He discussed increasing employability, quality education, skill training, and infrastructure development with District Collectors.
The workshop, attended by senior officials, focused on utilizing DSF, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and other funds for program implementation. The ADP and ABP programs, launched by the Government of India in 2018 and 2023, respectively, aim to improve performance in aspirational districts and blocks.
Ten districts and 40 blocks in Odisha have been identified as aspirational areas. The Aspirational DSF program, launched in July 2025, will support indicators with low standards in ADP and ABP implementation. District Collectors were advised to propose additional assistance to the State Government if needed.
