Bhubaneswar: Bhadrak Collector has declared holiday for 126 schools in five blocks of the district for tomorrow in view of heavy rain, flood situation and ongoing restoration work.
The holiday has been declared in Bhadrak, Tihidi, Dhamnagar, Bhandaripokhari and Chandbali blocks. Officials said the decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of students and staff amid continued rainfall and waterlogging in low-lying areas. Restoration work is also underway in several affected areas.
All government, aided and private schools in the five blocks will remain closed. The Collector has directed block administrations and school authorities to ensure that students do not come to school and to remain alert to the weather and flood situation.
