Traffic Advisory For Bhubaneswar Ahead Of Maha Shivratri Celebrations At Lingaraj Temple

Bhubaneswar: In view of Maha Shivratri celebrations at Shree Lingaraj Temple on February 15, the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate has announced traffic regulations to ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic and safety of pedestrians. The regulations will be in force from midnight of February 14 until the completion of the festival.

Here are the traffic regulations and diversions—-

– Vehicles from Rath Road and Punama Gate side will be diverted at Badhelbanka Square towards B.M. High School Ground for parking. Heavy vehicles are not allowed on Rath Road.

– Two-wheelers from Kedar Gouri Temple and Sanitarium Square side can use Kolitirtha Lane via Kacherapindi Chhak and park at the rear side of Taranga Club.

– Vehicles from Samantrapur side will proceed via Sri Ram Nagar, merge after Sub-station Square, and be diverted towards the northern side of Ananta Basudev Temple and rear side of Taranga Club for parking.

– Vehicles from Keuta Sahi side will be diverted from Sri Ram Nagar towards BMC Market Complex / Ananta Basudev Parking.

– Vehicles from Tara Sundari Road side will not be allowed towards Badheibanka Chhak and will be diverted towards B.M. High School Ground for parking.

– Buses and cars from Mausima side / Kalpana side will be allowed up to Sanitarium Square only and parked at the newly constructed Bus Stop.

– Alternate vehicle blocking may be implemented at Gosagareswar chhak during peak hours, diverting vehicles to the newly constructed BMC parking space.

– Vehicles of invitees and on-duty Government officials will be diverted at Badheibanka Square towards dedicated parking areas.

– Shishu Bhawan Mausimaa overbridge will be one-way during the festival, allowing vehicles only from Shishu Bhawan side towards Mausimaa side.

Designated parking places have been identified, and the public is advised to follow the traffic regulations for a smooth and safe experience.

The Commissionerate Police also arranged designated parking place for the devotees.
