Woman Fights Off Bear Attack To Save Husband’s Life In Mayurbhanj

Bhubaneswar: In a brave act, a woman in Mayurbhanj district’s Karanjia block fought off a bear attack to save her husband’s life.

The victim, Malde Soren, is currently battling for life at a hospital.

According to reports, Malde Soren and his wife Lili Soren were collecting leaves from the Hatisalabeda forest when they were attacked by a group of six bears. Lili used an axe to fend off the bear, injuring it and saving her husband’s life. The bear, however, left Malde severely injured.

Subsequently, the injured couple was rescued and taken to Karanjia Hospital, and later shifted to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital for further treatment.

Locals are praising Lili’s bravery, saying she saved her husband’s life with her courage.
