Bhubaneswar: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to construct a 500-metre skywalk connecting Palasuni and Rasulgarh, aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety and reducing traffic congestion.

The project, announced via NHAI’s regional office ‘X’ handle, is estimated to cost Rs 20 crore.

“In a major step toward safer roads in Bhubaneswar, the National Highways Authority of India will build a 500-metre skywalk from Palasuni to Rasulgarh at a cost of Rs 20 crore,” NHAI posted on ‘X’.

The proposed skywalk will provide a secure, well-lit pathway across the busy stretch, streamlining traffic flow and minimising congestion. Once completed, it will benefit daily commuters and residents, marking a significant step towards safer roads in the state capital.
