Bhubaneswar: The 6th day of the Odisha Assembly Budget Session turned chaotic today, with the opposition parties creating a ruffle during the question hour.
As per reports, the Assembly Session resumed today after a day’s break, but was quickly disrupted by the opposition. Biju Janata Dal members raised issues related to farmers, while Congress focused on the Epstein file scandal. Despite the Speaker’s repeated appeals, they refused to calm down, forcing her to adjourn the proceedings.
The proceedings were adjourned twice – first at 11:30 am and then again for 30 minutes later – as the Opposition continued to protest.
Meanwhile, Speaker Surama Padhy called an all-party meeting has been called amidst the disruptions.
