Teacher’s Mutilated Body Found In Rayagada, Suicide Suspected

Rayagada: The mutilated body of a teacher was found near Jemadeipentha railway station in Rayagada district on Monday morning.

The deceased, identified as Panchanan Chaudhury, a Sanskrit teacher at Jemadeipentha Kalinga High School, was found with severe injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear, but a letter was found beside the body. Rayagada Government Railway Police have launched an investigation and retrieved the body.

Chaudhury had reportedly been under mental stress for some time, leading police to suspect a possible suicide.  However, police investigation is  underway to ascertain the real cause of the death.
