Jharsuguda: The team of the Mahanadi Water Disputes Tribunal arrived at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda on Thursday, marking an important step in the ongoing adjudication of the Mahanadi water-sharing dispute.
The delegation is led by Tribunal Chairperson Justice Bela M. Trivedi and includes Justice Ravi Ranjan, along with a 10-member team of officials and legal experts. After landing at the airport, the team proceeded towards Sambalpur by road, where discussions related to the Mahanadi river water dispute are scheduled to be held.
Comprehensive arrangements have been made for the tribunal’s road travel from Jharsuguda to Sambalpur. The district administration, in coordination with the police, has ensured smooth transit with designated routes, traffic regulation, and security escort.
The Jharsuguda police administration has put in place extensive security measures in view of the high-level visit. Security personnel have been deployed at the airport and along the route to Sambalpur to ensure safe and uninterrupted movement of the delegation.
