Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is gearing up for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s 2-day visit starting February 5.
A high-level meeting was held, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, to review preparations for Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah’s two-day visit to Odisha.
According to reports, Shah will arrive in Bhubaneswar on February 5 evening and attend the CISF Foundation Day ceremony at Mundali in Cuttack on February 6.
In the afternoon, he will perform the bhumi pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Khurda and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) Bhubaneswar campus.
Shah will virtually inaugurate the NFSU Transit Campus in Bhubaneswar. He will later inaugurate an exhibition on the new criminal laws (Nyaya Sanhita) and lay foundation stones/inaugurate projects at the IDCO Exhibition Ground, Bhubaneswar.
Considering Shah’s visit to the CISF Foundation Day event, the Godisahi -Munduli Road will be black-topped, illuminated, cleaned, and beautified as directed.
The meeting, attended by officials including State Director General of Police YB Khurania, Cooperative Commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Commissioner, and Khordha District Collector, discussed the detailed programme, security, traffic, and venue preparations for Shah’s visit.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg instructed all departments to complete preparations on time, ensuring mutual coordination.
