Bhubaneswar: Four persons of a family were killed as a Bolero vehicle rammed into two motorcycles they were travelling in near Mehna village under Godbhaga police limits in Bargarh district.
As per reports, the victims, who were returning from a wedding, were identified as Santosh Padhan (55), his wife Kahar Padhan (48), his brother Dayasagar Padhan, and his minor grandson. The family of Santosh Padhan was returning to Jampali village under Binka police station on two motorcycles from a wedding in Khairpali when the accident took place in the wee hours of Monday.
Two injured grandchildren are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Burla Medical College and Hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and a manhunt to nab the absconding Bolero driver.
The incident has sparked intense outrage in the local area.
