Bhubaneswar: A raid conducted by the Vigilance team on the properties of OAS officer Prasanna Samantaray, Kantapara Tahasildar, Cuttack, has unearthed assets worth crores. The search operation revealed two multi-storeyed buildings and seven high-value plots in Bhubaneswar, along with cash and vehicles.
The assets unearthed so far include:
- A triple-storeyed building (4065 sqft) at Keshura, Bhubaneswar
- Another triple-storeyed building (6750 sqft, under construction) at Keshura, Bhubaneswar
- 7 high-value plots in Bhubaneswar
- Cash of Rs 2.15 lakhs
- 1 four-wheeler (Maruti Brezza) and 3 two-wheelers
Samantaray, who joined government service in 2000 as a Local Fund Auditor with initial salary of Rs.5,130, is being investigated for disproportionate assets. Searches are ongoing.
