Deogarh: The triple murder accused who was on the run after killing his wife, daughter-in-law and granddaughter at Gariapali village under Kundeigola police limits in Deogarh district, has been arrested. 
As per reports, the accused identified as Ramesh Garia reportedly hacked his wife, daughter-in-law and granddaughter with the help of hammer over unknown reasons. The incident occurred late on Wednesday last night at Ramesh’s residence.
The victims have been identified Ramesh’s wife Kuhul, daughter-in-law Lipi and four-year-old granddaughter Gayatri. Garia had fled the scene after bludgeoning them to death with the help of a hammer. The incident had led to heightened tensions in the village. Garia was found hiding in a water tank by villagers who subsequently informed police.
Police and fire tender officials rushed to the spot and arrested the accused.
