Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Legislative Assembly was adjourned after just 22 minutes as BJD and Congress staged a walkout over the SCB Hospital fire incident today.
As per reports, Opposition MLAs protested in the Assembly, holding placards and shouting slogans over the SCB Hospital fire incident. They attempted to climb the Speaker’s podium, prompting the Speaker to adjourn the House till 11:30 am.
The opposition has been staging protests for the last three days, demanding the Health Minister’s resignation after fire broke out at SCB Medical College and Hospital claiming 13 lives.
Congress and BJD MLAs protested, demanding the resignation of the Health Minister. The opposition alleged negligence on the part of the government, saying the Health Minister should step down on moral grounds.
