Bhubaneswar: In a significant security operation, a young man from Bhubaneswar has been taken into custody by a special team of the Delhi Police for his alleged connections with Pakistan and involvement in anti-national activities.
According to reports, the accused, identified as Imran Khan, was picked up from the Capital Police Station area during a well-coordinated raid.
Delhi Police had been monitoring his movements and online activities for quite some time before the team zeroed in on his location. Preliminary investigations suggest that the youth was actively spreading anti-India content on social media platforms. He is also believed to have maintained contact with certain extremist elements, which has triggered serious national security concerns.
Acting on precise intelligence inputs, the Delhi Police Special Branch team travelled to Bhubaneswar, conducted the operation smoothly, and took the suspect into custody for detailed questioning.
He has already been shifted to Delhi, where multiple central agencies are expected to interrogate him thoroughly to unravel any larger network he may have been part of.
Further details about the exact nature of the allegations and any recovered evidence are awaited as the probe continues.
