Puri: The inventory and assessment of precious ornaments in the outer chamber of the Ratna Bhandar of Shree Jagannath Temple is expected to be completed today.
According to reports, on the third day the inventory and assessment process has made significant progress. Nearly 80 to 90 per cent of the ornaments in the outer treasury have already been counted and documented. The team is meticulously counting each piece, taking photographs, videos, and conducting 3D mapping along with preparing an e-catalogue, which is a time-consuming exercise. The inventory work will remain suspended on Sunday (April 12) considering the heavy rush of devotees on the weekly holiday.
Justice Biswanath Rath, who is overseeing the process, expressed confidence that the assessment of the outer chamber would be finished by the end of the day. He announced that the inventory of the inner Ratna Bhandar will commence from Monday, April 13.
“Thanking the devotees for their patience and cooperation during this sacred exercise, Justice Rath said the committee is hopeful of completing the outer chamber inventory today itself. The inner chamber counting will begin from April 13 onwards,” said Justice Rath.
It is pertinent to mention that the entire process is being carried out with utmost care and transparency under the supervision of the high-level committee.
