Bhubaneswar: The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of PGIMER and Capital Hospital has been granted a registration certificate to operate as an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Clinic (Level-1) on Tuesday.

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) is a modern medical procedure that aids couples facing difficulties in conception.

The registration has been issued under the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021, and will remain valid for five years, up to April 27, 2031.

With the establishment of this clinic, advanced reproductive healthcare services will be made available at the government level, benefiting infertile couples through improved medical facilities. This initiative is expected to significantly strengthen the state’s healthcare system.

It will also enhance quality standards, consistency, and transparency in the delivery of ART services across the state.
