Bhubaneswar: A tragic road near Gadadeulia Square under Baisinga police station in Mayurbhanj district claimed the life of a woman and leaving two members of her family critically injured.
According to reports, the accident occurred when former Mayurbhanj Zilla Parishad Chairperson and Gadadeulia Petrol Pump owner Kamala Tiria, her son Abhisekh and daughter-in-law were returning from Bhubaneswar to Baripada after a medical check-up. The car ((OD11AA-8181) they were travelling in was hit from behind by a trailer around 11:30 pm. The impact caused the car to lose control and crash into the road divider. Kamala, her son and her pregnant daughter-in-law suffered critical injuries. Tragically, Kamala’s daughter-in-law succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to Remuna Hospital.
Upon being informed, Baisinga Police have reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
