Dhenkanal: The Odisha State Commission for Women on Friday organized a camp court at the Sadbhavana Conference Hall in the District Office here to hear grievances related to violence and injustice against women.
Chairperson of the Odisha State Commission for Women, Sovana Mohanty, advised women facing dowry harassment, marital discord, domestic violence, physical torture, property disputes, sexual harassment, atrocities against minors, or deprivation of their legitimate rights to immediately approach the District Social Welfare Officer, District Collector, Superintendent of Police, or the Women’s Commission for assistance.
During the camp court, Chairperson Sovana Mohanty and Commission Member Prativa Satpathy heard the grievances of seven women who were victims of domestic violence.
Additional District Magistrate Ramesh Chandra Sethi welcomed the participants at the beginning of the programme.
Additional Superintendent of Police Indurekha Paschimkabat, District Social Welfare Officer Sangeeta Kumari Patra, Security-cum-Programme Officer Pankajini Kar, along with other departmental officials, were present and extended cooperation in resolving the cases.
