Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway has announced the cancellation of the Puri–Howrah Shatabdi Express and its return service on July 9, 2026, owing to the delay of the link train.
According to an official press statement, Train No. 12278 Puri–Howrah Shatabdi Express will remain cancelled on July 9. Similarly, Train No. 12277 Howrah–Puri Shatabdi Express will also remain cancelled on the same day.
Railway authorities said the decision was taken due to the delayed arrival of the link train, which has affected the operation of the Shatabdi Express services on the route.
Passengers planning to travel by the affected trains have been advised to take note of the cancellation and make alternative travel arrangements. The Railways has also urged passengers to check the latest train running status and updates before commencing their journey.
