Bhubaneswar: A 22-year-old worker is in critical condition after coming in contact with a 25 kV overhead power line while carrying out repair work at Brajrajnagar Railway Station in Jharsuguda district on Tuesday afternoon.
The injured worker has been identified as Pintu Bhaina, a resident of Bahadur Pada. He sustained severe burn injuries in the incident and was immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical.
According to reports, the incident occurred during repair work on an aluminium shed above Platform No. 3 of the railway station. During the work, the labourer accidentally came into contact with the live overhead electric line, resulting in a severe shock.
