Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government’s Skill Development and Technical Education Department on Tuesday issued a fresh directive to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination, scheduled to be held on June 21 (Sunday).
In an official communication, the department addressed the principals of Government Polytechnic (GP) institutions and Government ITIs across the state, instructing them to make necessary administrative arrangements for the examination.
The directive covers six GP institutions—Bolangir, Balasore, Berhampur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, and Jajpur—and three Government ITIs located in Balasore, Rourkela, and Berhampur.
The department noted that several officials who were earlier nominated for examination duties, including centre superintendents and other functionaries, have since been transferred to different institutions, leading to administrative gaps in the examination setup.
To address the issue, the department has instructed that in cases where such nominated officials are no longer available at their original postings, their duties should be reassigned to suitably qualified staff currently serving in the respective institutions.
It further stated that the revised arrangement is necessary to ensure proper coordination and the orderly conduct of the examination across all centres.
Authorities have been directed to take immediate steps to implement the instructions and ensure strict compliance so that the examination process is not disrupted in any manner.
