Bhubaneswar: The death toll of Odia workers killed in the Tamil Nadu ammonia gas leak tragedy climbed to six on Tuesday after Jamuni Juang from Keonjhar district succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
All six deceased workers hailed from Keonjhar district and were employed at the industrial unit in Tamil Nadu where the fatal gas leak occurred. The latest death has plunged the family and the entire village into profound grief. Cries and mourning engulfed Jamuni Juang’s residence, with a heavy pall of sorrow descending over the area.
On the other hand, four other Odia workers are still battling for their lives and remain in critical condition in different hospitals in Tamil Nadu. Their families are gripped with anxiety and are closely monitoring their health updates.
