Bhubaneswar: The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has announced the supply of school bags to all students from Sishu Vatika to Class III in government schools across the state.
In a letter, State Project Director, informed all District Education Officers-cum-District Project Coordinators (DEO-cum-DPCs) that the school bags will be supplied by the Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) at respective block points for further distribution to schools.
The initiative covers students studying in all government schools under the School and Mass Education (S&ME) and Scheduled Tribes & Scheduled Castes Development (SSD) departments. Two different sizes of school bags have been arranged as per age group. Size-I bags are meant for students of Sishu Vatika to Class I, while Size-II bags are for students of Class II and Class III.
The authority has enclosed block-wise indents with the letter for reference. All DEOs have been directed to ensure smooth receipt of the materials as per the approved quantity and to carry out timely distribution to the respective schools so that the bags reach the eligible students at the earliest.
Any discrepancy noticed during the receipt of the materials should be immediately brought to the notice of the OSEPA headquarters for prompt resolution.
“You are therefore requested to ensure receipt of the materials as per the approved indent and timely distribution to the respective schools for onward distribution among eligible students. Any discrepancy noticed during receipt may be brought to the notice of this office immediately for necessary compliance”, read the letter.
