Cuttack Installs AI Cameras At 22 Points To Catch Traffic Violators; E-Challans Soon

Bhubaneswar: The Cuttack city is set to get a major tech upgrade for traffic management. High-power AI cameras have been installed at 22 locations in Cuttack to keep watch on traffic violators.

Violators will face e-challan directly from the Bhubaneswar control room through the camera system.

Police will no longer have to take photos of traffic violators manually. The system will capture violations with real-time date and stamp. Traffic violators will receive SMS e-challans.

The new system will be implemented in Cuttack city very soon.Cuttack residents have welcomed the initiative. A biker said it is a welcome step. He added that vehicle drivers and bike riders will be more cautious on roads. Road accidents will lessen.

The cameras have been installed at key traffic points. These include Madhupatna, Badambadi, Ranihat, College Square, OMP, Satichaura, Bajrakabati, Buxi Bazar, SP Office Chhak, Belview Chhak, Press Chhak, Jobra Barrage, and others.The new initiative will be implemented within a month.
