Kendujhar: In a tragic road accident, a farmer and a buffalo were killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle on National Highway No. 20 near Bankapatuli in Kendujhar district.
The deceased has been identified as Ghasiram Patra, a resident of Bhandaripashi village under Toranipokhari Panchayat.
The accident occurred when Ghasiram Patra, a resident of Bhandaripashi village under Toranipokhari Panchayat, was returning home from Telkoi’s Talpada area along with two buffaloes for agricultural work. Police said the impact of the collision was so severe that the Ghasiram’s body was found scattered in pieces on the road.
Upon receiving information, Dhenkikot police reached the spot and seized the body for further legal procedures. A search has been launched to trace the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
