Bhubaneswar: Fortis Healthcare Limited has signed an Operations and Management (O&M) agreement with Odisha-based Dion Group for the development of a 300-bed greenfield multi-specialty hospital at Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia, Cuttack, according to a press release issued by Fortis Healthcare Limited.
The proposed hospital, strategically located along the rapidly developing Cuttack-Bhubaneswar corridor, is expected to serve as a major tertiary care destination for Odisha and neighbouring regions by offering advanced medical treatment and specialised clinical services.
According to the company, the facility will provide comprehensive tertiary and quaternary care services supported by advanced diagnostics, critical care infrastructure and specialised clinical programmes. It is also envisioned as a Centre of Excellence across multiple specialties.
The collaboration marks Fortis Healthcare’s first major presence in Odisha and forms part of the company’s broader strategy to expand access to quality healthcare across India through brownfield expansion, operating and management agreements and other asset-light growth models, the release said.
Fortis Healthcare Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi said the partnership represented an important milestone in the company’s growth journey and reflected its commitment to expanding high-quality healthcare infrastructure across the country.
He said the upcoming hospital would improve access to advanced tertiary care services for patients across Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and neighbouring regions while bringing Fortis’ clinical excellence, patient-centric care and operational expertise to Odisha.
Dion Group Promoter Manoj Sahoo said the collaboration aligned with the group’s vision of creating integrated communities supported by world-class infrastructure and services.
He said the partnership would combine Fortis Healthcare’s clinical and operational expertise with Dion Group’s vision of developing modern healthcare infrastructure to meet the growing demand for advanced healthcare services in the state.
The proposed hospital is expected to strengthen Odisha’s healthcare ecosystem by improving access to specialised treatment, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the state for complex medical care, and creating a platform for advanced clinical services, medical talent and healthcare innovation, according to the press release.
Headquartered in Bhubaneswar, Dion Group is engaged in residential, commercial and integrated township development and is expanding into hospitality and healthcare infrastructure. Fortis Healthcare operates a network of multi-specialty hospitals across India.
