Bhubaneswar: Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Suresh Pujari on Friday held a review meeting with members of the Revenue Field Officers Association at Lok Seva Bhawan, focusing on key administrative and service-related issues of field-level revenue staff.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various challenges faced by Revenue Inspectors (RIs), Additional Revenue Inspectors (ARIs), AMINs, and other field functionaries. Deliberations also centered on strengthening revenue administration by improving efficiency and ensuring necessary support facilities for staff working at the grassroots level.

The meeting discussed several reform measures, including reducing the jurisdiction of RI circles to improve administrative efficiency, allocating adequate funds to RI offices for official work, and streamlining the recruitment process through a more transparent, robust, and simplified selection system. The issue of providing financial support for field visits was also raised.

Further discussions were held on proposals related to regularising promotions of officers and employees, amendments to cadre rules, and cadre reorganisation to improve service structure and career progression.

The Minister urged field officers to discharge their duties with dedication and integrity and work towards making revenue services more accessible and citizen-friendly.

The Revenue Field Officers Association expressed gratitude to the Minister for his positive assurance and sensitivity in addressing their concerns.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, senior officials of the department, and representatives of the Revenue Field Officers Association.
