Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh nowcast warning, alerting several parts of Odisha about the likelihood of moderate rainfall over the next three hours.
According to the warning issued at 7:58 am today, moderate rain is very likely to occur at many places across 15 districts of the state. The alert is valid till 10:58 am today. The districts likely to receive rainfall include Balangir, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Boudh, Cuttack, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Khordha, Koraput, Nayagarh, and Puri. The area covered under this nowcast warning is approximately 69,000 square kilometers.
People in these districts have been advised to stay alert for possible waterlogging in low-lying areas and minor traffic disruptions during this period.
