Bhubaneswar: The state government has clarified that a letter circulating on social media regarding the appointment of Sishu Vatika teachers is fake and fabricated.
A letter bearing number 10911/F, dated 24.04.2026 and purportedly issued by the Finance Department is being shared widely on various social media platforms. Some media outlets have also published news based on the letter, which has created confusion among the public.
The fake letter falsely claims that the Finance Department has approved the creation of 7,234 Sishu Vatika teacher posts under OSEPA.
It also claims that each teacher will get a monthly salary of Rs. 26,000.The government has stated that the letter is completely fake, unauthorized and has no basis in official records. No such proposal has been approved by the Finance Department. No government approval has been given for the creation or appointment of 7,234 nursery school teacher posts through the said letter. Officials said the signature, number, content and approval mentioned in the letter are all fabricated.
The government has termed the production and circulation of fake official letters as a serious offence. The concerned authorities have been informed to take appropriate legal action in the matter.
The state government has urged the general public and media not to believe or share any official letter circulated on social media without verification. It requested people to confirm official information only from government notifications, the official website, or the concerned department. The government reiterated its commitment to providing correct and authentic information to the public.
