Bargarh: Two youths who had gone missing in the dense Jhanjha Hills of Padmapur sub-division in Bargarh district were safely rescued on Wednesday after a massive 20-hour search operation.
The rescued youths have been identified as Raj Mallick and Ganesh Duduka from Kansingha village.
According to reports, the duo had lost their way on Tuesday while the group of nine youths was heading towards Kuthikhol at the foothills of Jhanjha Hill. They later climbed the hill and got separated from the rest of the group.
A large-scale search operation was launched on Tuesday night by the Forest Department, with the help of local villagers and volunteers. The search continued throughout the night and into Wednesday. The two youths were finally traced and rescued from the Bhanubhata village area near the Chhattisgarh border.
Both Raj and Ganesh are safe and have been brought back. Their families expressed immense relief and gratitude to the search teams, local administration, and Forest Department officials for their tireless efforts.
