Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested eight persons in connection with a murder case under Sadar Police Station in Nayagarh, solving the case within 24 hours of the incident. The weapon allegedly used in the crime has also been recovered and seized.
Acting on the directions of the Superintendent of Police, Nayagarh, special teams launched an intensive investigation immediately after the incident. Based on leads gathered during the probe, police identified the accused, carried out coordinated raids and arrested all eight suspects within a day.
The weapon allegedly used in the murder was also recovered during the operation and has been seized as evidence. Further investigation is underway to establish the complete sequence of events and the circumstances leading to the crime.
Nayagarh Police said efforts are being made to ensure the case is fast-tracked for trial, reflecting its commitment to swift justice and the effective enforcement of law and order in the district.
