Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education Department on Friday released the provisional entrance marks for the Teacher Education (TE) Courses Entrance Test 2026 for admission into two-year B.Ed., M.Ed., and B.H.Ed. courses for the academic session 2026-27.
The entrance examination was conducted by the State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha, through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS). Candidates who appeared for the test can now check their provisional marks by logging into the SAMS TE Portal using their existing user ID and password.
As per official data, a total of 1,13,540 candidates had registered for the entrance examination. Of them, 1,01,030 candidates appeared for the test, while 12,510 candidates remained absent. All candidates who appeared in the examination have been considered eligible for the selection process.
The examination was held for admission against 2,800 sanctioned seats in 31 Teacher Education Institutions across Odisha. The available seats include 2,450 seats in B.Ed., 300 seats in M.Ed., and 50 seats in B.H.Ed. courses.
Among the applicants, 1,09,873 candidates had applied for B.Ed., 1,788 for M.Ed., and 1,879 for B.H.Ed. courses. The number of candidates appearing for the examination included 98,170 B.Ed. applicants, 1,318 M.Ed. applicants, and 1,542 B.H.Ed. applicants.
The department has invited objections from candidates who notice any discrepancies in their provisional marks. Candidates can submit their objections online through the SAMS Portal by using their login credentials.
The objection window opened on July 10, 2026, at 2 PM and will remain open until July 13, 2026, at 6 PM. The final entrance marks will be published after the department reviews and resolves the objections received from candidates.
After the declaration of final marks, candidates will be allowed to participate in the choice-filling process and other admission-related activities under SAMS for the 2026-27 academic session.
