Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed and another sustained injuries after two motorcycles collided head-on near Doliamba Bridge under the jurisdiction of Koraput Sadar Police Station in Koraput district on Saturday.
The deceased were residents of Pali Machhara village in Dashmantapur block. They died on the spot due to the impact of the collision. The bodies were later sent for postmortem examination.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the two motorcycles crashed into each other near the bridge. Another youth, a resident of Mahadeiput village under Koraput Sadar, sustained serious injuries in the mishap and was rushed to the Koraput District Headquarters Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
On receiving information, Koraput Sadar Police reached the spot, recovered the bodies, and launched an investigation.
