Bhubaneswar: Concerns have grown at Berhampur’s MKCG Medical College and Hospital after allegations of a PG exam question paper leak surfaced, prompting Odisha University of Health Sciences to launch a formal investigation.
OUHS has taken the incident seriously and formed a five-member special investigation committee to ascertain the facts. As per instructions from OUHS, the committee has been asked to complete the probe within 72 hours and submit a detailed report.
Officials said help from the cyber cell will be taken during the investigation if required. The investigation team is looking into how and at what stage the question paper was allegedly leaked, who was involved, and the veracity of the complaint.
Questions have been raised about the fairness and credibility of the PG examination following the allegation. Officials said incidents like paper leaks affect the credibility of the medical education system. Students and the public have demanded that the culprits be identified and strict action be taken. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the committee, OUHS said.
