Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday met Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & IT Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi and discussed strengthening of railway infrastructure in the state.
During the courtesy meeting, both leaders held detailed discussions on expediting new railway line projects and improving overall connectivity across Odisha. The focus was on enhancing regional as well as industrial connectivity to give a boost to economic growth.
Taking to his X handle, CM Majhi wrote: “Today in New Delhi, I called on the Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji. We held a constructive discussion on strengthening railway infrastructure in Odisha, expediting new railway projects and improving connectivity across the state. Our priority is to enhance regional and industrial connectivity to accelerate economic growth. With the continued support of the Union Government, we are steadily advancing towards a developed and prosperous Odisha.”
The Chief Minister stressed that with continued support from the Union government, the state is moving ahead towards building a developed and prosperous Odisha.
He also underlined the need for faster execution of ongoing railway projects to ensure better last-mile connectivity in industrial and tribal regions.
