Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued a nowcast warning for parts of north Odisha, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning in the next few hours.
According to the IMD bulletin issued at 1:45 pm today, light to moderate rain with thunderstorm and lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar and Baleshar districts during the next 3 hours.
The Met office has advised people to stay alert and monitor weather updates for any worsening conditions. Citizens have been urged to take necessary precautions for their safety during the thunderstorms.
