Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning predicting light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms in five districts in next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 11 am, these weather conditions are likely at one or two places over the districts of Bargad, Nuapada, Khordha, Koraput, and Mayurbhanj during the next three hours.
The IMD has advised the public to remain vigilant, monitor weather updates closely for any deterioration in conditions, and take necessary precautions to ensure safety.
Residents in the affected areas are urged to avoid outdoor activities during thunderstorms.
