Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued a nowcast warning for Khordha district, including Bhubaneswar city predicting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the next 1 to 2 hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 1:00 pm today, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is very likely to occur at a few places over Khordha district in the next 1 to 2 hours.
The IMD has advised residents to keep a watch on weather conditions and plan accordingly for their safety. People have been asked to stay alert in case the situation worsens.
The warning comes as Odisha continues to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall under the influence of twin cyclonic circulations active over the Bay of Bengal.
