Bhubaneswar: Marking the 80th Independence Day celebrations, East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Parmeswar Funkwal on Saturday inaugurated a series of advanced medical equipment at the Central Hospital in Bhubaneswar, reinforcing healthcare facilities for railway beneficiaries.
The newly installed equipment includes an Automated Biochemistry & Immunoassay Analyser, a 4K Laparoscopy System, a Non-Contact Tonometer and an Ethylene Oxide (ETO) Steriliser. The addition of these modern facilities is expected to significantly improve diagnostic services, facilitate advanced minimally invasive surgeries, enhance ophthalmic care and strengthen infection control measures at the hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager emphasised the importance of adopting advanced medical technologies to ensure quality healthcare services for railway employees, pensioners and their dependants.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD), other Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs), senior railway officers, doctors and officials.
