Bhubaneswar: The authorities of Laxminarayan (LN) College in Jharsuguda district have declared sine die until further orders following the cancellation of its students’ union election.

The Principal issued a notice on Thursday announcing the closure of the college amid concerns over the law-and-order situation on campus. As part of the closure order, students residing in both the boys’ and girls’ hostels have been directed to vacate the premises on Thursday itself.

The authorities have also restricted entry into the college campus during the closure period. No one will be allowed to enter the premises without written permission from the Principal.

Notably, the students’ union election was cancelled due to apprehensions over maintaining peace and order on the campus. The college will remain shut until further instructions are issued by the authorities.
