Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for 11 districts of Odisha, cautioning residents to be alert as light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is very likely.
According to the IMD bulletin issued at 9:50 am today, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in the next three hours over Mayurbhanj, Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Kandhamal, Kendujhar, Bargada, Sonpur, Balangir, Jajpur and Sundaragada.
The regional weather office has advised people to keep a watch on weather conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
The district administrations of the above mentioned districts have urged residents in the affected districts to avoid venturing out during thunderstorms and take necessary precautions.
