Bhubaneswar: Former Chief Justice of India Justice Gopal Ballav Patnaik has been nominated as a member of the selection committee of the Odisha Lokayukta, according to an official notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
The nomination was made on the recommendation of the chairperson and members of the selection committee, the notification said.
The appointment has been made in accordance with Section 4(1)(e) of the Odisha Lokayukta Act, 2014 (Odisha Act of 2018).
Justice Patnaik, who served as the 32nd Chief Justice of India, will now be part of the committee involved in the selection process for the Odisha Lokayukta.
