Bhubaneswar: A woman and her nine-month-old son have mysteriously gone missing while travelling by train from Bengaluru to Bhubaneswar.
The missing woman has been identified as Subhadra Mallick, wife of Prakash Mallick of Rankei village in Jagatsinghpur district.
As per reports, Subhadra was returning home with her infant son on the Bhubaneswar-Bengaluru Express on August 31. Around 1:45 pm, she spoke to her father over the phone and asked him to arrange an auto-rickshaw at Bhubaneswar railway station. Her younger brother reached the station with an auto from Jagatsinghpur, but Subhadra’s mobile phone was found switched off. After waiting for a long time without any sign of his sister, he returned home.
Meanwhile, Subhadra’s husband, Prakash has lodged a written complaint with the Bengaluru Government Railway Poilce.
Based on Prakash’s complaint, police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
However, no trace of the mother and child has been found so far, and the reason behind their sudden disappearance remains unclear.
